As the NFL offseason gains steam, questions about the Los Angeles Rams remain. How good can they be? We won’t know for awhile, but count on many questions to be asked.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff sits atop the quarterback depth chart as the long awaited summer break has arrived. At running back, Todd Gurley is looking to rebound from a disappointing 2016, and all eyes are on rookie Cooper Krupp who may or may not be a star at this time next year. At tight end, Tyler Higbee is looking to breakout, and an offensive lineman from Washington might be in the rotation for the center position.

Oh yeah, then there is the 31 year old rookie head coach who looks to be the savior of a franchise in midst of a decade long dumpster fire.
Yes, all is well with the Rams.
Seriously, it is.
Why? Because this offseason means no Jeff Fisher, which is akin to Christmas in July.
Whether you’re a glass half full or half empty person, there is an air of optimism that is absolutely infectious, if not a little misleading. But even that prospect is better that the alternate reality of Fisher on the sidelines.
We know little. Very little. Whether Goff can play, Krupp can deliver, Gurley can rip a long one, or Higbee can be that clutch tight end.
We don’t even know if McVay can be the head coach Rams fans are hoping for.
Yet still, with all the uncertainty, I’d rather have this offseason of “who knows” versus the offseason of “not again.”
And therein lies the hope and anxiousness of what might be.
For the Rams, this team has yet another rare opportunity to get it right in Los Angeles. A chance to make a fan base their captive audience.

Trust me, short of the grand opening of the Inglewood stadium project, this moment won’t happen again.
These guys better remember that.
Because fans will.
