Take a look at the depth chart for the Los Angeles Rams heading into Week 1 of the NFL 2017 preseason.

After months of practicing and adjustments to both sides of the football, the Los Angeles Rams are only a few days away from their first NFL 2017 preseason matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, which will take place on Saturday night. Now that the time is finally here, the Rams have provided a look at their depth chart heading into the preseason to make fans even more excited about what’s in store during Sean McVay‘s first year as head coach.

Before anyone freaks out over why Aaron Donald isn’t on the current list, keep in mind the reason behind his name being left off is due to not being active at the moment. The former first-round pick has yet to show up for training camp due to holding out for a new contract, and based off how the last few weeks have played out, who knows when this whole thing with Donald will finally come to an end.

For now, Los Angeles fans can keep their mind off Donald’s situation by enjoying the excitement of the depth chart heading into Saturday’s game against the Cowboys. Courtesy of Rich Hammond, here’s a look at the Rams depth chart following Monday’s release:

From a fan favorite perspective, it will be interesting to see if Nelson Spruce can find a way to move up the list after all of the potential he displayed last preseason. Coincidentally, it was last year against the Cowboys in the preseason in which Spruce became the receiver every Los Angeles fan cheered for after making a name for himself with six catches for 51 yards to go along with a touchdown.

Unfortunately, that would end up being the only appearance for Spruce after dealing with a knee injury for the entire season. Either way, at least between Spruce and the other handful of receivers looking to make a case for a roster spot, Jared Goff and the offense should be in much better shape than last year when the Rams ranked dead last in the NFL by averaging just 14 points per game.
