Rams vs Cowboys: 3 questions for Los Angeles heading into first preseason game
By Dan Parzych
It’s time to take a look at three questions surrounding the Los Angeles Rams heading into their first preseason game of 2017 against the Dallas Cowboys.
After months of waiting, the Los Angeles Rams will finally kick their 2017 NFL preseason off on Saturday night when they host the Dallas Cowboys, which coincidentally was the case last year as well for the first week. However, the circumstances are much different this time around after the Rams decided to move on from Jeff Fisher, and make Sean McVay the youngest head coach in NFL history.
One of the main reasons why Los Angeles was so interested in bringing McVay on board was his history of helping develop Kirk Cousins into the effective quarterback he is today with the Washington Redskins. The Rams went all in during the 2016 NFL Draft after trading up to select Jared Goff at No. 1, and with the second-year quarterback quickly picking up McVay’s offense based off the last few months of practice, early signs point to this hiring paying off big time.
