14. Denver Broncos (13)

Despite coming out on the winning end against the Chicago Bears, the Denver Broncos don’t seem to be anywhere closer to figuring out who their starting quarterback is going to be for the upcoming season. The argument can be made Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch are the most interesting quarterback battle to follow for the next few weeks, but unfortunately neither of the Broncos quarterbacks made a good enough impression against the Bears.

While Siemian finished the game by completing 6 of 7 passes for 51 yards, Lynch posted similar numbers by completing 6 of 9 passes for 42 yards, and neither of them managed to throw any touchdown passes. Denver has made it clear they would prefer to determine their starter sooner rather than later, and if that continues to be the case, the team’s upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers will be even more important for both players.

On another note, it will be interesting to see whether De’Angelo Henderson picks up where he left off after the rookie led the Broncos in rushing yards (54) against the Bears with a touchdown. Denver’s loaded with depth at running back, but Henderson could easily work his way into earning one of the backup spots if he continues to shine on offense.
