17.  Tennessee Titans (14)

Entering the new season, the Tennessee Titans were considered a team to keep an eye on in the AFC when it comes to potentially making the leap to serious contenders after falling just shy of a playoff berth last year. And as frustrating as it was to see the Titans begin the new season with a loss, the one positive takeaway for this team is that Marcus Mariota is healthy with no signs of any setbacks following the leg injury that ended his 2016 season early.

This team will go as far as Mariota will take them in 2016, and even though he only threw for 256 yards without a touchdown pass, at least the Tennessee quarterback was able to find the end zone with his legs during the 26-16 loss. Instead of worrying about the lack of offense in the second half for the Titans, the team should consider this a tough loss against a Raiders’ defense that proved last year to be on the rise.

Thanks to a successful offseason consisting of solid pickups in both free agency and the NFL Draft, Mariota should benefit from all the new toys to work with on offense. Then again, after seeing how well the defense of the Jacksonville Jaguars looked against the Houston Texans, Tennessee finds themselves in for another tough matchup in Week 2 facing their division rivals.
