32. New York Jets (32)

As bad as it sounds, Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills may have been the best chance for the New York Jets to win in the first half of the season when looking at the tough schedule they have to deal with moving forward. When considering these two teams are expected to finish at the bottom of the AFC East this year, the Jets missed out on what most likely was a rare opportunity to pull out an early victory after scoring just 12 points against the Bills.

For a team that parted ways with numerous veterans during the offseason to focus on rebuilding, New York for some reason is still deciding to go with Josh McCown under center, who isn’t even the best of quarterbacks to begin with. When considering McCown has been in the league forever and only has 18 career wins to his name shows this is a decision that makes no sense for the Jets.

Instead, New York would be better off giving one of their youngsters in Christian Hackenberg or Bryce Petty a chance to show off their skills at quarterback to see if there’s any potential at all. But after seeing McCown struggle the way he did against the Bills, maybe the Jets will reconsider making the switch at quarterback in the next few weeks.
