Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has quarterback Jared Goff rolling. Just think back to Week 1 when the Rams dismantled the Indianapolis Colts. LA had all facets of its game clicking: special teams, defense, offense, and especially a young QB coming of age.

For Los Angeles, this game will be a measuring stick. It’s a chance to see what this team is all about, where it’s heading, and just how good they are four games into the 2017 season.

The Rams will be tested, especially Goff.

Three games in, the roles have changed, and I believe Phillips will get the defense back on point, or close too. But right now, or at least in the aftermath of the 49ers win, it’s the offense carrying this team. Assuming the status quo holds this week, McVay will have to dial it up.

As exciting as it’s been, the first year head coach will need to hope for some balance. As good as the Rams offense has been, it’s hard to keep that going for 17 weeks. Dallas will test this team from top to bottom.

One thing though, Goff and his offense can’t be required to hang 41 points each week and squeak out a win at the gun.

McVay will keep the offense rolling along, and hope that maybe this week, the defense will catch up.
