Should fantasy football owners consider using Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys?

Even though it’s only been three games, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff is beginning to catch the eyes of fantasy football owners due to his play from the first three games of the NFL 2017 season. Sure, Goff’s most impressive performances to date may have come against mediocre teams in the Indianapolis Colts and the San Francisco 49ers, but the important factor is the former No. 1 pick is in a completely different place when compared to his rookie season.

One of the biggest questions surrounding the Rams entering the 2017 season was what type of progress would be made by Goff at quarterback, especially after the team brought Sean McVay on board as the youngest head coach in NFL history. After seeing McVay’s success with the development of Kirk Cousins over the previous two seasons when he was offensive coordinator with the Washington Redskins, Los Angeles hopes to see the head coach have similar success, if not better, with Goff.

The two still have a long way to go when considering it’s only been one month into their first regular season together, but this weekend’s game for Los Angeles against the Dallas Cowboys will be a good test on just how far Goff has come under McVay’s system.

At the moment, the Cowboys’ passing defense ranks near the middle of the league by allowing just under 228 yards per game through the air, but also take into consideration with the way the Rams’ defense has looked over their last two outings, this could turn into a high-scoring contest. In other words, for fantasy football owners wondering if Goff would be a good choice in Week 4, the Los Angeles quarterback appears to be a safe bet following a solid performance against San Francisco (22 of 28 for 292 yards with three touchdowns) last week.
