The Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars meet in a battle of 3-2 teams that no one put much thought in to.
Who knew the Los Angeles Rams and jaJacksonville Jaguars would be such riddles. In Week 5, LA would be looking for some redemption while looking to build on a 3-2 record.
Then again, so is Jacksonville.
Los Angeles is in need of a win, after yaking one up against Seattle at the Coliseum, 16-10.
For LA, quarterback Jared Goff will look to get back on track after a game where he’d give up two interceptions. On the whole, a Rams offense that was stifled against a Seattle defense, was exposed a bit. This week, head coach Sean McVay is making adjustments as Los Angeles heads across the country for a Jacksonville team that isn’t necessarily a ‘walk-over.’
One player, wide receiver Sammy Watkins has shifted from comments made last week. Two reports, including one from ESPN has him “frustrated” by a reduced role in the Rams offense.
Heading into and out of Week 4 where Los Angeles beat the Dallas Cowboys on the road, all seemed well in Rams Land. One loss later, and whatever may have been simmering is now coming to the surface.
The game against the Jags will be another test for Goff and the Rams defense. Against Pittsburgh last Sunday, the Jaguars completely dominated Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense. After the first five weeks of the the season, Jacksonville has already amassed 10 interceptions.
Last week alone, the Rams turned the ball over five times including two interceptions.
Los Angeles could use a bounce-back game before heading to London for another NFC West game against the Arizona Cardinals.
