Against the Seattle Seahawks, fans saw what can happen when two players are NOT involved in the Rams offense. Whatever “flow of the game” head coach Sean McVay noticed that made him go away from two prolific players in Watkins and Gurley, will hopefully not be noticed again.

While Gurley has a history of mostly just “rolling along” with things, Watkins looks to be a different story.

He was quick to take to social media to re-tweet fans supporting him, and even engaging Rams veteran receiver Torry Holt.

Five games in, and after an odd outing against Seattle, the burden will be on McVay to get his offensive game plan right. At 3-2 and after a start that had people talking playoffs, the first year head coach is finding out it doesn’t take long for issues like these to find there way into the public debate.

It’s clear Gurley is better when the workload is heavier and Watkins can’t be an afterthought in the pecking order on the wide receiver depth chart. If Watkins is frustrated now, what happens if he decides to just check out?

The Los Angeles Rams can’t afford that happening, be it in Week 6 or Week 16.

After the Seattle loss, you hope McVay at least realizes he’s better with them than without.
