24. New York Jets (19)

With a 28-14 lead at one point in the fourth quarter, the New York Jets appeared to be on their way to another impressive victory over the Miami Dolphins. But unfortunately, the Jets completely fell apart in the fourth quarter in the fourth quarter by allowing the Dolphins to score 17 unanswered points, including the game-winning field goal following a costly interception thrown by Josh McCown.

Leading up to the fourth quarter, McCown had been playing arguably his best game of the season for New York after accounting for four touchdowns, one of which came on a rushing touchdown in the first half. So to see McCown make a mistake this late in the game despite everything he had accomplished leading up to the team’s final drive has to be frustrating for not just him, but the Jets.

Nobody expected New York to look like this much of a contender this season when looking at how many changes they went through in the months leading up to Week 1, but this team is turning into one of the biggest surprises. Losing to the Dolphins hurts, but that doesn’t mean the Jets shouldn’t be ruled out just yet if they can continue playing at an elite level like the last few weeks.
