20. Denver Broncos (10)
All of a sudden, the Denver Broncos look like anything but contenders in the AFC after failing to score a single point against the Los Angeles Chargers. What’s even more frustrating is this comes one week after suffering one of the most embarrassing losses from the 2017 season after the Broncos fell at home to the New York Giants, who were winless at the time, back in Week 7.
Offense was already a major issue for Denver entering the regular season, and after scoring just 10 points over the last two weeks, it’s safe to say the concerns have returned since the team is now 3-3 on the year. Even if the offense had to make the adjustment of losing a key player in Emmanuel Sanders, there’s no excuse for Trevor Siemian to be struggling this much when looking at some of the weapons he has to work with, mainly Demaryius Thomas.
It wasn’t long ago when the Broncos were drawing comparisons to the team that made a run at the Super Bowl a few years ago, but after Week 7, this is clearly still a team that is a work in progress. Not to mention, with the Kansas City Chiefs suffering two losses in a row, Denver has missed out on a golden opportunity to jump out in front of the AFC West.
