17. Los Angeles Chargers (24)

After showing signs of being the team from the previous two seasons that couldn’t figure out ways to closeout games, the Los Angeles Chargers are all of a sudden on a roll following Sunday’s victory over the Denver Broncos. With the win, the Chargers have now won three games in a row, and seem to have new life when it comes to having a chance to compete in the AFC West, which nobody could have predicted a few weeks ago.

When seeing all of the early losses suffered by Los Angeles, the team seemed to pickup right where they left off with their inability to win close games. But thanks to some impressive wins over the last three weeks, the Chargers appear to be playing with a ton of confidence at the moment, and Sunday’s shutout win against the Broncos was a huge statement not just for the division, but the entire AFC.

There is still plenty of football left in the 2017 season, and if Los Angeles continues to play at this high level, they’re going to be a difficult team to defeat. Of course, if the Chargers really want to make another statement, a win against the New England Patriots on the road next weekend would certainly help their case.
