2017 NFL Power Rankings Week 8: Rams climb after shutting out Cardinals in London

9. Houston Texans (4)
Let’s hope the Houston Texans enjoyed their win before the bye week against the Cleveland Browns because up next, Bill O’Brien’s team faces a very tough challenge on the road by going against the Seattle Seahawks. In what may be one of the most hostile environments to play in, Seahawks fans always make it difficult for opposing teams, and this will be a good test for Deshaun Watson to see how well the rookie performs.
Nothing against Watson since the rookie has already exceeded all expectations for Houston this year, and has accounted for 13 touchdowns over the last three games, but he still has a long way to go. With the way the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars have looked at times, the race for the AFC South title seems like it’s going to turn into an exciting one, meaning whether the Texans continue to have a shot will fall on the shoulders of the former Clemson star.
Plus, Houston is already at a disadvantage when looking at all of the injuries the team is dealing with on the defensive side of the football. So believe it or not, the Texans’ offense could end up being the deciding factor on whether this team returns to the playoffs for a third year in a row.
