3. Los Angeles Rams (6)
Throughout the 2017 season, the Los Angeles Rams have put together plenty of big wins, but the argument can be made this was their most impressive yet against the Arizona Cardinals, which is ironic since everyone was saying the same thing last weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Not only did Jared Goff lead the Rams to having their way against the Cardinals on offense, but the defense managed to earn their first shutout of the year as well.
Obviously, this game could have turned out much different if Carson Palmer wasn’t forced to leave with a fractured arm, but even before the veteran quarterback left, Los Angeles was still having their way against Arizona. One of the main reasons why this win was so key for the Rams was due to the fact they were able to remain on top of the division at the moment, and this was the perfect way to head into the bye week since they’ve already topped their win total from a year ago.
What Sean McVay has been able to accomplish this early on in his coach career has simply been amazing since Los Angeles was expected to take a year or two just to adjust on both sides of the football. Instead, the Rams are playing some of the best football in the NFL, and are easily one of the top teams to beat in the NFC heading into Week 8.
