3. Palmer leaves game with injury

Speaking of Carson Palmer, the Arizona Cardinals quarterback was forced to leave Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams in the second quarter due to a left arm injury. And while Drew Stanton has shown potential at times over the years as a reliable backup, this game went downhill even more for the Cardinals once Palmer was officially ruled out.

Only time will tell when it comes to how serious this injury was for the veteran quarterback, but it’s difficult not to wonder how different this game may have been if Palmer was able to play the entire game. Throughout his career, Palmer has always shown flashes of greatness, and makes a huge difference for the Cardinals when he’s healthy enough to lineup under center.

Arizona was hoping to get back into the mix of the NFC West with a win against Los Angeles, and while there is still plenty of time for that to happen, it could be a tougher challenge if Palmer is forced to miss a good amount of time. As previously said, with all due respect to Stanton, this Cardinals’ offense just isn’t the same without Palmer, and it showed on Sunday against the Rams in London.
