He’d help deliver such a victory in Dallas.

The Rams announced that this is a team to be reckoned with when they beat the Cowboys 35-30. Los Angeles showed they can win on a big NFL stage like the one you’d find at JerryWorld. It also showed that they could not only hang with, but beat both a Super Bowl contender, and a perennial media darling.

Anytime you play and win in Dallas, it’s something of a statement win. But when you are a league curiosity like the Rams have been in 2017, it’s something much more.

The Cowboys and ‘all everything’ Jerry Jones, are the center of the NFL universe. That’s a reality in the league. The Rams going into that city, and beating perhaps the most high profile team next to New England, is the type of signature victory that can re-launch a young franchise.

Even if Los Angeles doesn’t end up being a playoff team this season, and only show huge upside and trajectory with a ton of progress heading into 2018, NFL watchers and fans will point to Week 4 in Dallas as the day this franchise became relevant again.
