3 must see games for Rams fans after the bye
By Steve Rivera
The Los Angeles Rams hosting the Philadelphia Eagles is just dripping with potential plot lines. Heading into Week 8, both teams are coming off of wins against division rivals, with the Rams having just beaten the Arizona Cardinals, and Philly having beaten the Washington Redskins.
Now listen, a lot can happen between now and December, but if form holds, this very well may be one of the most important games the Rams will play in 2017. And if both teams continue on a winning track, Philadelphia at Los Angeles might even find its way to Sunday Night prime time, showcasing two of the best young quarterbacks in the league.
Beyond that, it’s also a chance for Jared Goff to show that LA made the right selection on draft night 2016. Personally speaking, as well as Goff has played this season, I still believe the Rams would have been better off drafting Carson Wentz, who still looks to be ahead of the top overall pick. To Goff’s credit, he’s excelled in a Sean McVay offense that more often than not, puts him in situations where he can succeed.
The second year quarterback has taken advantage of that.
Eagles at Rams may not just be a great game late in the season, but great matchups in seasons to come.
