8. Minnesota Vikings (8)

Last season, it was devastating to see the Minnesota Vikings fail to earn a spot in the playoffs despite a 5-0 start, mainly due to all of the injuries to numerous players on both sides of the football. And even though the injury bug hasn’t been all too kind to the Vikings once again, at least this team seems to be in much better shape this time around.

While the defense deserves plenty of credit for Minnesota currently sitting on top of the NFC North with a 6-2 record, the one player who has made a major impact for this team has been Case Keenum on offense. Originally, Sam Bradford’s knee injury only seemed to be minor, but when looking at all of the games the former No. 1 pick has missed this season, it’s tough to imagine where this team would be if it wasn’t for Keenum.

Even if Bradford does eventually become healthy enough to return as the starter, the Vikings need to strongly consider sticking with Keenum for the second half of the regular season if the offense continues to play this well. With the bye week officially over, Minnesota will look to earn their fifth win in a row next weekend on the road against Kirk Cousins and the Washington Redskins.
