31. San Francisco 49ers (31)

What’s the best news surrounding the San Francisco 49ers after suffering yet another loss to drop to 0-9 on the season? Well, let’s just say the 49ers should be thankful to be hosting the New York Giants, who are 1-7 on the season, next weekend since that may actually be their best chance of winning a football game in 2017.

Every time San Francisco makes it seem like they have a chance to finally earn a victory, the team goes out to find a way to end up on the losing end once again. Even though the 49ers went to lose by 10 points to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9, let’s not forget it was 14-10 at one point in the second half before Bruce Arians’ squad eventually pulled away with the victory.

As much as San Francisco wants to continue to see what C.J. Beathard can bring to the table, it’s time to finally give Jimmy Garoppolo a chance to show off his skills under center, even if the offense doesn’t give him the best of weapons to work with. Kyle Shanahan has patiently been waiting for a franchise quarterback to build this team around, and the only way to figure out if Garoppolo is the answer is to actually use him during games.
