30. New York Giants (29)

Not even an extra week of rest seemed to help the New York Giants recover from what has been a disastrous season after the team lost for the seventh time on the year following Sunday’s 51-17 loss at home to the Los Angeles Rams. Even though there was the slightest bit of hope surrounding this team a few weeks ago following a surprise win over the Denver Broncos, it’s time for the Giants to begin looking forward to next year, and start thinking about their future.

For starters, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Eli Manning at quarterback since New York has to at least be taking into consideration some of the talent from the upcoming NFL Draft class. Even if the two-time Super Bowl champion deserves some benefit of the doubt when looking at all of the struggles surrounding the offensive line, Manning just isn’t as effective as he used to be at quarterback, and it showed even before some of the key injuries on offense started to take place.

Losing at home as bad as New York did is never easy to recover from, and as bad as it sounds, Ben McAdoo should be extra concerned over his job security when seeing how terrible this season has been. And to think the Giants were one of the early favorites to make a run at the Super Bowl in the NFC after earning a Wild Card spot a year ago.
