Having Woods back against Seahawks huge for Rams in Week 15

LOS ANGELES, CA - NOVEMBER 12: Robert Woods

After dealing with a shoulder injury over the last three games, Robert Woods claims he’s good to go for the Los Angeles Rams in Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Last weekend’s loss at home to the Philadelphia Eagles was certainly difficult for the Los Angeles Rams to deal with when considering they did manage to put up 35 points, but the good news is the team has a chance to get back on track this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. Yes, the Rams did come up short in October during the first meeting between these two NFC West rivals, but this is a much different situation this time around since most of these players are a lot more comfortable in Sean McVay‘s offense.

Plus, what may end up being the best news of all for Los Angeles on offense, Robert Woods is expected to return to the lineup after missing the previous three games with a shoulder injury. Unfortunately, the former USC standout suffered the injury when the Rams fell to the Minnesota Vikings in the middle of November, and if all goes well, Woods will hopefully be able to pickup right where he left off.

Prior to the injury, Woods had arguably become the hottest receiver in the passing game for Los Angeles by catching 20 passes in a three-game span to go along with four touchdowns. Back in the offseason, many questioned why the Rams focused their attention on bringing Woods on board when looking at some of the other players available at the position, but nobody is questioning that move anymore, especially when looking at how quickly he developed the necessary chemistry with Jared Goff in the passing game.

For the most part, Los Angeles has been able to get by on offense without Woods since players like Sammy Watkins and Cooper Kupp stepped up by taking on a heavier workload. Luckily, Woods will be back in time for the final three games with the Rams, as they look to make a final push for the division title or Wild Card spot. When looking at how tough Seattle was the first time around along with the fact they’re looking to play catch up in the NFC West, Los Angeles is going to need all of the help they can get on offense, including production from Woods.
