After failing to clinch over the last few weeks, the Los Angeles Rams could earn the NFC West title or a playoff berth in general during Week 16, based off a few factors.

Believe it or not, the respect surrounding the Los Angeles Rams may have hit an all-time high after last weekend’s blowout win on the road against the Seattle Seahawks, as the argument can be made this was the most embarrassing loss of the Pete Carroll era. Watching the Rams make a statement the way they did with a 42-7 victory over the Seahawks makes it seem like this team is not just built for the playoffs, but possibly a Super Bowl run.

All of a sudden, there are a good amount of football experts across the country that look at Los Angeles as the team to beat in the NFC when looking at the job Sean McVay has done during his first season as head coach. Never in a million years would the Rams have been considered Super Bowl favorites in the offseason since this was supposed to be a year of rebuilding after only winning four games all of 2016 while averaging just 14 points per game.

With that being said, Los Angeles understands that getting to the Super Bowl will be easier said than done when looking at the rest of the competition in the NFC, not to mention the focus right now for McVay is making sure this team secures a playoff spot first. At least with an upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 16, the scenario actually works out better to the advantage of the Rams this time around.

Here’s a look at how Los Angeles can win the NFC West or even clinch a playoff berth in Week 16:

Unlike previous weeks, the Rams have more control over possibly clinching a playoff berth this weekend since a win over the Titans would make them NFC West champions over the Seahawks. And if that does end up happening, the next focus for Los Angeles will be seeding in the NFC when considering they could still be in battle for a first-round bye, depending on what happens with the Minnesota Vikings.

All things considered, Los Angeles fans have plenty of reasons to be excited about what’s in store for Week 16 since the scenarios make it clear that it’s only a matter of time before this team does in fact secure a playoff berth. And when that does end up happening, it’s going to be exciting to see what kind of magic the Rams can put together come January since they appear to be built for a Super Bowl run.
