Will Rams inexperience be a plus or minus in the playoffs?

The youth of the Los Angeles Rams has been a non-issue in 2017. However, with a playoff run at hand, its a question some fans may have.

Is it a glass half empty, or a glass half full for the Los Angeles Rams and the playoff run ahead?

With two games to go, and not wanting to get ahead of anything yet to come, it’s logical to wonder how this team would fare in a win-or-go-home situation. As the Rams have shown this season, a season where every expectation has been shattered, one might want to believe a lack of postseason experience won’t be an issue at all.

That could be some wishful thinking.

Against teams the Rams have played who are postseason bound, or could be, it’s been something of a mixed bag.

Los Angeles beat the Jacksonville Jaguars, while also losing to Minnesota. Both those games were on the road.

Conversely, the Rams lost to NFC East leader Philadelphia in a close game, while beating then NFC South leader New Orleans. Both of those games were at home in the Coliseum.

As for the Seattle Seahawks, a team who is at best a long shot heading to a must win game in Dallas, Los Angeles split, losing at home and then destroying them on the road. For good measure, the Rams did beat the Cowboys, still only a hopeful for the playoffs, at Jerry World.

Like I said, it’s something of a mixed bag.

A win tomorrow, against another quality opponent in the Tennessee Titans, won’t say a whole lot other than LA would have beaten a few of those too.

And lost to a few also.

Perhaps it’s in that light where you would like the Rams to do well, as they’ve done so when being evenly matched. Also, the idea of a home game for the playoffs is nice, but the Rams have been a better bet on the road, as far as trends go.

Either way, it’s been a season of exceeded expectations.

Which means it could be a long postseason run.
