With a lot still to happen in Week 17, one team fans should keep a wary eye on is Seattle. If there is one team the Seahawks would love a rematch with, especially after that epic beating, it’s the Los Angeles Rams.

Any opponent the Los Angeles Rams face in the postseason will present a certain set of challenges. But one team might have a more personal stake should they face LA, especially for a third time.

Former NFC West champion, Seattle Seahawks.

Rams fans, Seahawks fans, and the Seahawks themselves haven’t forgotten the absolute beatdown they sustained in Seattle, 42-7 during Week 15. And despite the myriad of injuries to that defense, they have a quarterback who is an absolute wild card.

While Los Angeles running back Todd Gurley was making a punchline of the Seahawks defense, rushing 21 times for 152 yards and three touchdowns (he’d also catch three passes for another 28 yards and 1 TD), Wilson was trying to move heaven and earth to generate any offense. While it was woefully inadequate, know he’d love a chance to knock out the team that embarrassed them at home.

Add to the fact that it would be the third time the Rams and Seattle have played this season, and both will know few if any secrets remain.

While I’ve never been one to buy into the intangible of “pride” or “payback” at the professional level, the Seahawks are well aware of the boos and embarrassment at the hands of the Rams at CenturyLink. They were a team manhandled by a group who went 4-12 a year ago, and who one year later is King of the NFC West. A title they held until Sean McVay showed up in LA.

It’s hard to imagine that sitting well in Seattle.

Beating the Seahawks twice in one season would not be an easy task. Beating them after destroying them in Seattle is something else entirely.

The Rams know that.

And Seattle won’t soon forget it.
