Aaron Donald

Cards on the table, is anyone really surprised to see Donald on this list when looking at all of the issues he caused for opponents throughout the 2017 season? If the Rams were smart, they would pay Donald whatever money he wanted in his next deal since the former Pittsburgh standout has proven over the last four seasons that he deserves to be the highest paid defensive player in the NFL.

The fact that Donald was limited to playing in just 14 games this year, and still managed to lead the NFL in quarterback pressures by a landslide shows just how special of a player he is on defense, and it’s going to be exciting to finally watch him take part in the postseason for the first time in his career. Not to mention, Donald tying his career high in sacks (11) despite receiving all of that extra attention from defenders shows how difficult it can be for offensive lineman to protect their quarterback, and the scary factor is he’s only going to continue getting better each season.

As bold of a prediction as it sounds, Donald will most likely be a lock for these honors each year, assuming he doesn’t see any setbacks due to some sort of injury. By earning a spot on the team for the third year in a row, Donald continues to show why so many football fans view him as one o the best at what he does.
