Todd Gurley

Isn’t it amazing how much of a difference one year can make for a star running back like Gurley? When most fantasy football owners gave up on Gurley after the former Georgia standout failed to record a single 100-yard rushing game in 2016, the MVP candidate came through with a monster season that consisted of 2,000+ yards from the line of scrimmage to go along with 19 total touchdowns.

Even if Gurley does end up getting snubbed for MVP, no one can takeaway from the fact that he certainly deserves the honors of being named to the All-Pro Team since he’s all of a sudden made a name for himself as one of the top running backs in the league. Of all the players who have benefitted the most from playing in McVay’s system on offense, no one has seen their game improve as much as Gurley, and it’s even more amazing to see him put together this kind of breakout year after all of the unfair criticism he received a year ago.

Seeing Gurley being blamed for a majority of the struggles surrounding the Rams on offense despite the poor offensive line and weak receiving corps was frustrating at times for the running back. But when seeing all of the success from this season, all of the struggles were well worth it for Gurley when seeing the position he currently finds himself in with Los Angeles as one of the most dangerous threats in the league.
