Wide Receiver. SMU. Courtland Sutton. 16. player. 26.

Missing out on the postseason despite high odds to clinch a Wild Card spot heading into Week 17 was a crushing blow for a team like the Baltimore Ravens, but also was a major wakeup call. For a team normally known for having a top defense in the league, the Ravens better realize they need to improve on the offensive side of the football in order to get back into the mix of being contenders in the AFC.

Over the years, one of the biggest debates for football fans has been whether Joe Flacco deserves credit for being in the elite category at quarterback, even though he hasn’t exactly had the best receivers to work with. Sure, the Ravens having players like Mike Wallace seemed to work well at times, but Flacco and the offense need playmakers that are going to be consistent on a weekly basis.

Enter Courtland Sutton, as the SMU standout will most likely be selected in the first round when seeing all of the teams in need of help at the wide receiver position. When seeing how Sutton was able to earn 31 touchdown catches over the last three seasons, Flacco would love to have this kind of young talent to work with.
