16. . Quarterback. Oklahoma State. Mason Rudolph. 22. player

Back-to-back picks in the first round for the Buffalo Bills almost seems too good to be true since this means the team can focus on areas in need of improvement on both sides of the football. With all due respect to Tyrod Taylor, this year’s draft class is simply loaded with too much talent at quarterback to pass on, and when looking at how many questions there have been surrounding the former Virginia Tech over the years, the easy solution seems to be the Bills drafting an insurance policy.

Obviously, if Buffalo had a higher pick in the first round, a quarterback like Darnold or Rosen would be a perfect fit to potentially build the franchise around. But since the team will have to wait until later in the round, unless they make the decision to trade up, they may have to settle for considering someone like Mason Rudolph, which isn’t necessarily the worst thing in the world.

The Oklahoma State standout has seen mixed reviews over the year when it comes to whether he has what it takes to make it at the NFL level, but at least the potential to work with Rudolph could be intriguing for the Bills. With the right coaching, Rudolph could find success at the NFL level, which also means he could turn into a huge steal if all works out well for the quarterback.
