player. 31. . Quarterback. UCLA. Josh Rosen. 2

What took place with the New York Giants this season by going from serious Super Bowl contenders early on to winning just three games shows how much of a mess this organization is at the moment, which is one of the main reasons why Ben McAdoo was eventually fired. And while there’s a good chance Eli Manning will still be around for the 2018 season, the Giants will eventually need to focus on his successor since the veteran quarterback isn’t getting any younger.

Football fans can say what they want about Manning and his inconsistency at times on offense, but at the end of the day, he deserves some benefit of the doubt when looking at all of the issues surrounding this team from key injuries to a poor offensive line. If New York were smart, they would keep Manning around next year while using the No. 2 pick on Josh Rosen to help the UCLA product learn from one of the best before eventually taking over the starting role.

Keep in mind that Rosen’s leadership skills have come into play at times during his time with the Bruins, so learning from one of the best in Manning could also work to the advantage of the Giants. Offensive line could easily be addressed with this high of a pick, but it may be too difficult for New York to pass on a quarterback when looking at the talent from this year’s class that could easily be gone by the time the second round begins.
