Give the Philadelphia Eagles plenty of credit for overcoming just about every obstacle thrown their way when it comes to injuries, although this team still has a lot to prove when it comes to proving they deserve to represent the NFC in this year’s Super Bowl. Even if the Eagles do in fact end up taking down the Minnesota Vikings, there are still plenty of areas this team can improve on heading into the 2018 season, especially on the defensive side of the football.

Ever since Carson Wentz went down with a torn ACL, defense has been the main reason why Philadelphia has been able to keep their Super Bowl dreams alive since Nick Foles has been decent for the most part, but hasn’t exactly shined enough to make fans feel confidence enough over their new beloved quarterback. And if the defense wants to make sure the Eagles are serious contenders for years to come, the unit will need to build off their successful year in which they were considered one of the best in the league.

While the current group of players certainly deserves all of the credit in the world for the team’s success this season, Philadelphia would certainly welcome someone like Vita Vea with open arms. His pass rushing skills may still be an issue, but Vea developing with the Eagles seems like a move that would be beneficial to both parties.
