Defensive Back. Alabama. Minkah Fitzpatrick. 4. player. 53.

As frustrating as it was to see the Houston Texans struggle the way they did this season with all of the injuries on both sides of the football, at least the Browns will benefit from now having two of the top four picks in the first round, which is unreal to think about. Cleveland has found numerous ways over the years to fail to take advantage of their high draft picks, but hopefully the team can come through with the 2018 class.

The great thing about having two of the top four picks is no matter what, the Browns should be able to finally use one of the selections on a quarterback to potentially build the franchise around. And if Cleveland does in fact go with someone like Darnold at No. 1, the fourth pick should be used on the defensive side of the football on a player like Minkah Fitzpatrick.

There’s a reason why the Alabama safety is considered one of the top defensive players from this year’s draft class, and seeing that he can contribute as a cornerback as well makes Fitzpatrick even more attractive of an option. When looking at all of his set of skills, Fitzpatrick could quickly become a nightmare for opposing offenses during his first NFL season, no matter what team he ends up on, although the Browns would be thrilled to have him.
