With the trade for Aqib Talib official, the new Los Angeles Rams cornerback is using Twitter to convince Ndamukong Suh to join the team as well.

Even though the new NFL year didn’t officially begin until this week, the Los Angeles Rams had already been keeping themselves busy by completing all sorts of trades to give them a better chance of competing in 2018. One of those trades happened to be the acquisition of Aqib Talib from the Denver Broncos to play alongside Marcus Peters, who also came over through a trade as well from the Kansas City Chiefs.

From Talib’s perspective, the veteran cornerback has every reason in the world to be thrilled over the fact that he ended up in Los Angeles since the trade reunited him with Wade Phillips, who used to be the defensive coordinator in Denver. All of a sudden, there’s plenty of excitement surrounding this new duo at cornerback with the Rams, especially since it’s going to save them a ton of money when looking at what it would have cost to bring Trumaine Johnson for another year.

Football fans can say whatever they want about Talib being too old because at the end of the day, his veteran experience alone should help take this defense to a whole new level next season, as the team will be looking to advance further in the playoffs instead of losing right away. Clearly, Talib feels confident in the kind of team the Rams are building, and it looks like he isn’t wasting any time trying to recruit another defensive star that has all of a sudden become available following his release from the Miami Dolphins in Ndamukong Suh.

First off, that is in fact Eric Dickerson’s tweet below Talib’s, as the former Rams star has been trying to do a little recruiting of his own for Suh to join Phillips’ defense. Even if this scenario seems like an absolute long shot based off what kind of money Suh would be looking for, Los Angeles fans can at least dream about the possibility, right?

Suh may have a history of being a headache for his dirty style of play at times, but all fans need to do is take a look at the footage of his highlights from over the years, and see how much of an impact the defensive standout could make on this unit to be convinced this could be amazing to witness.
