In an offseason where the Los Angeles Rams have everything on the table, are quarterbacks Colin Kaepernick or Johnny Manziel a better option than Sean Mannion?

Yes, there is a common theme here, and that is the idea that quarterback Johnny Manziel or Colin Kaepernick may be a better option than current backup QB Sean Mannion for the Los Angeles Rams.

Hey, why not?

After an offseason where the Rams haven’t been shy about exploring and pushing the boundaries in a quest of winning and winning big, I proffer the idea of seeing how much a Kaepernick or Manziel might bring to the table after seeing what Mannion does, or frankly does not do.

Which is such a long winded way of saying WHY NOT TAKE A LOOK!!

Hey, the Rams are all about keeping everything on the table, so why not see if either of these two can get you closer than the garden variety backup that is Mannion?

And as for those who see this as a non-consideration, I’d point you to the 2017-2018 highlight reel that is the Philadelphia Eagles. Nick Foles stepped up precisely because he was a guy who had played on the big stage and in games that matter.

Kap has done that in this league, and ‘Johnny Football’ has in college.

Maybe Manziel just needs a kick-start to get it going again, so why not in Los Angeles for either of these two?

Hyperbole?
Yes.

Over the top?
Maybe.

But given this offseason, doesn’t one of these two reclamation projects, who have won, seem like a logical fit in the Los Angeles constellation of NFL stars? I mean, Sunday in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is now a who’s who of big names and bonafide stars.

Both Kap and Manziel seem a logical fit given recent developments, and if they can help win, why not?

LA has become a lot of things. The Rams are now the “it” team in the National Football League.

Meaning even the depth chart can have some name recognition of its own, and Kap and Manziel deliver that.
