Rob Gronkowski to the Rams is way better than Odell Beckham Jr.

Could Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski find himself in a Los Angeles Rams uniform? Rumors being what they are, why not?

Rumors. What would the offseason and free agency be without them? With that said, one percolating a bit is the idea of the Los Angeles Rams being a possible trade destination for New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.

More far-fetched than the idea of New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr?

Maybe, maybe not.

But once you get past the tabloid driven hyperbole of OBJ, a rumor to truly embrace as one that benefits the Rams, is Gronkowski as the signature tight end and newest best bud for quarterback Jared Goff.

Tell me that isn’t an upgrade from either Tyler Higbee or Gerald Everett?

Ok the odds are long, but to read about the potential of New England head coach Bill Belichick maybe being on the outs with a player not all in on the “Patriots Way” is intriguing?

As for each player, Gronk is a WAY better option at the top of the category of “what if?”

While OBJ is a smoldering dumpster fire, Gronkowski is not.

I’ll concede the Pats tight end seems to flirt with injury, but that’s a different deal than a player who could go south emotionally and mentally after not enough targets.

And let’s be honest, head coach Sean McVay would have the type of tight end he could feature in LA. Something fans thought long about with McVay’s success and that position in Washington.

That’s also less pressure on running back Todd Gurley. Gronkowski would also becomes the kind of security blanket Goff would love and come to rely on.

He’s also a guy built for LA. And let’s be honest; if Odell imploded n New York, he’d at the very least do the same in LA.

So rumors being what they are, Gronkowski to LA is a far better deal than OBJ.

How true either rumor turn out to be, remains to be seen.
