Week 1: @ Baltimore Ravens

Believe it or not, the Baltimore Ravens have failed to earn a trip to the playoffs in each of the last three years, and if it happens again in 2018, it will be interesting to see if there are changes made in numerous areas. Normally, the Ravens are known for having one of the league’s toughest defenses, and while they certainly came up big at times throughout last season, it was the offense that had consistency issues.

A veteran quarterback like Joe Flacco can only do so much on his own without the proper weapons to work with, and even though they were late to the free agency game, the team received an unexpected surprise when Michael Crabtree became available. With Crabtree in the picture along with speedster John Brown joining the mix, Flacco’s job should be much easier in 2018 than it was this past season.

In a way, this will be a good early test for the Rams to see where they stand against a team that many believe should become a top contender once again in the AFC. Even if the starters receive minimum action, this will be the first game in which Los Angeles sees all their new additions suit up together for the first time, which will be exciting, no matter what.
