The Los Angeles Rams 2018 schedule has been released, and it is time to look at the highs and lows of the upcoming season.

Every year when the schedule comes out for the Los Angeles Rams, it is interesting to play prognosticator for the season. Every team has that streak. It’s the three-game stretch that will likely be a turning point in the season and determine how the year goes. It may be a three-game road stretch on the other side of the country, or a brutal lineup of opponents reminiscent of Murderers’ Row. Whatever the case, fans have it circled on the calendars.

In 2018, that stretch comes to the Rams beginning in Week 8, starting off when Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers come to LA, looking to avenge last season where Rodgers was hurt. Then, the Rams hop on a plane to go to travel down south to take on the New Orleans Saints to face their second future hall of fame quarterback in a row and play the team that should have been in the NFC Championship game last year if it wasn’t for the Minneapolis MiracleDrew Brees and two rookie of the year winners going into their second years will be ready for revenge against the Rams, who beat them last year 26-20.

Lastly, the Rams return home to face the Seattle Seahawks. Despite Seattle’s decline as of late, as an inter division rival, they remain a tough matchup who will always look to ruin the Rams fun.  As Jeff Fisher always stressed, winning games in the division is tough, even when the team struggled, McVay and company will need to continue to play tough in the division, even against declining teams.

Luckily, there is a likely chance that the Rams come into this three-game stretch 5-2. If the Rams come out of Veteran’s Day 7-3, they should still be in pretty good place in the division and in the NFC.

All that being said, these are likely conservative estimates. The Rams have added enough talent to be competitive and possibly even favored in all of their games next year.  That has not been true for a long time.

The sky is the limit for this team, and I cannot wait for the season to start for the Rams in September, especially when looking at all of the hype surrounding this team. Los Angeles has been waiting a long time for a special team like this, and it’s going to be fun to see how they live up to the expectations of being a legitimate Super Bowl contender in 2018.
