When looking at all of the weapons Jared Goff has to work with on offense, the Los Angeles Rams could end up with three 1,000-yard receivers in 2018.

One season after emerging as one of the biggest surprises in the NFL by going on to win the NFC West along with leading the league in scoring, expectations are higher than ever for the Los Angeles Rams heading into the 2018 season.

In fact, many believe the Rams deserve consideration for being one of the early Super Bowl favorites, although that’s always easier said than done.

It was one thing to have the bar set high after last year’s success, but the key additions Los Angeles has brought on board over the last few months have taken those expectations to a whole new level. From pulling off a trade with the New England Patriots to land Brandin Cooks to the surprise signing of Ndamukong Suh, the Rams are going to be a lot of fun to watch in 2018 if all goes according to plan.

Without question, Los Angeles seems like they’re going to be much better off with Cooks after Sammy Watkins decided to leave for the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency. In fact, if Les Snead and company can figure out a way to work out an extension with Cooks before the start of training camp, this will put the Rams’ offense in amazing shape for years to come.

After a disappointing rookie campaign that consisted of a 0-7 record, Los Angeles made it a priority last offseason to build a better offense around Jared Goff, and they certainly came through for their quarterback. Not only did the Rams land an underrated signing in free agency with Robert Woods, but the team ended up with a steal in the third round of the draft by selecting Cooper Kupp.

Take these additions into consideration with the fact that Los Angeles also had a running back looking to prove himself in Todd Gurley, it’s easy to see why Sean McVay‘s offense was so successful in 2017.

Even better, the unit could hit a whole new level during the 2018 season since they now have a year of experience playing under McVay’s system, especially when it comes to Goff.

If last year was any indication of what the future holds, Los Angeles is going to set at quarterback for years to come with Goff under center, and most players would do anything to have the kind of weapons he gets to work with. With a trio of receivers to work with in Cooks, Woods, and Kupp, this receiving corps is so stacked for the Rams, Goff could even help each player cross the 1,000-yard mark in 2018.

This may sound a bit ridiculous to say since McVay’s team didn’t have a single player cross the mark last season, but also Goff did an amazing job at spreading the football around. Going from no players breaking the 1,000-yard mark in receiving to three will certainly be tough, but if any team has a chance of making it happen, it’s Goff and the Rams.
