The Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers are two teams who could find themselves playing on Super Sunday.
The Los Angeles Rams being hyped as a possible NFC candidate for a Super Bowl run is practically old news. What’s not, is the potential for another Los Angeles team to get there.
That’s right guys and gals, the Chargers are another dark horse team that is beginning to get some love for a run at the Lombardi Trophy, too.
Crazy? Maybe, it’s still May, and the real games haven’t even begun to be played on the field. But when its May, everything is possible.
With that said, the NFL would absolutely love the city of Los Angeles to be the city to host a Super Bowl team, be it the Rams or the Chargers. However, for LA to have two bonafide teams would be the bonus of a league long wanting the city to be relevant.
With their new stadium still a couple of seasons away, both the Rams and Bolts are toiling away in temporary digs, with the LA Coliseum and a soccer stadium being used to launch these Super Bowl aspirations in 2018.
For fans and the league, the two LA franchises would be a definite changing of the guard when it comes to championship contenders.
The Rams are probably the splashiest of the two, as they have taken on an All-Star kind of roster, and feature signature players on both sides of the ball with the likes of DPOY Aaron Donald and OPOY in Todd Gurley. They also have perhaps the brightest of all young coaches in Sean McVay.
The Chargers just don’t have that kind of star power.

As for the NFL, both teams making a title run, maybe even having both teams meet for a Super Bowl would be a significant coup in a city looking to thrive with two franchises back in town.
A Lombardi Trophy in town would be a major deal for the city of LA, once considered to busy to be much for professional football.
