After seeing the release of team ratings for Madden 19, it’s safe to say the Los Angeles Rams received a raw end of the deal.

Between winning the NFC West last season along with plenty of key additions over the last few months, expectations are higher than ever for the Los Angeles Rams heading into the 2018 season.

In fact, the Rams are considered a heavy favorite to make a run at the Super Bowl when looking at how much both sides of the football improved this offseason, whether it was signing Ndamukong Suh in free agency or trading for players like Marcus Peters and Brandin Cooks.

However, despite all of these big moves made by Sean McVay and company, it looks like Madden 19 views Los Angeles in a different way when it comes to being a serious contender.

With the latest edition of the popular video game scheduled to be released later this summer, team ratings for all 32 teams were released to the public on Monday to help continue building up some of the hype.

As for where the Rams ended up, while most football fans would expect them to be a lock for being near the top of the list, let’s just say there’s some confusion and frustration to see them fall outside the top 10.

First off, everyone is obviously allowed to have their own respected opinion when it comes to team ratings, but when looking at all of the talent Los Angeles has on both sides of the football, how on earth did they only receive an 80?

Better yet, how do the Rams have the same ratings as a team like the Seattle Seahawks while trailing another team like the Dallas Cowboys (81)?

Yes, Madden is only a video games, and there’s really no reason to make a big deal since none of this matters if Los Angeles proves themselves on the football field, but deep down it’s still a little frustrating to see.

There’s a reason why the Rams have so much hype heading into McVay’s second season, and maybe this kind of disrespect will provide a little extra motivation heading into training camp. All things considered, don’t be surprised if Los Angeles ends up higher on this list by the conclusion of next season, assuming all goes according to plan in 2018.
