Three members of the Los Angeles Rams were recently recognized for being the top player at their respected position.

After emerging out of nowhere this past season to win the NFC West, expectations are higher than ever for the Los Angeles Rams heading into Sean McVay‘s second season as head coach, and rightfully so when looking at the talent he gets to work with.

It was one thing for the Rams to have the bar set high heading into 2018 after their surprise success from a year ago, but when looking at all of the key additions on both sides of the football, it’s easy to see why this team is considered one of the early Super Bowl favorites.

Between signing Ndamukong Suh when he unexpectedly became available to acquiring Brandin Cooks in a trade, opponents are going to certainly have their hands full each time they face Los Angeles.

Talent wise, the Rams deserve consideration for being one of the best in the league, and when seeing how three of their star players earned a spot on Bleacher Report’s article regarding the best player at each position, nobody should be surprised.

While Aaron Donald continues to get better with experience as one of the league’s top defensive players, Todd Gurley nearly took home MVP honors in 2017 after recording 2,093 yards from the line of scrimmage with 19 total touchdowns.

As great as Gurley was, one of the main reasons why the former Georgia star was able to come through with a breakout year was due to the presence of Andrew Whitworth, who the team signed in free agency, on the offensive line.

All three of these players earning recognition in Bleacher’s article just adds to the list of reasons as to why there’s so much hype surrounding Los Angeles. With Donald, Gurley, Whitworth, and a handful of other stars, the Rams are going to be a fun team to watch once again in 2018, assuming all goes according to plan.

For a team that was originally expected to go through a year or two of rebuilding under McVay while adjusting to his new system, it’s amazing to see Los Angeles in this current position as a serious contender in the NFC. Even better, it’s amazing to see the Rams have three of their players earn spots on this kind of list since space was limited.

Not to mention, most teams didn’t even have a single individual earn a spot, once again showing how special of a team Los Angeles has heading into the 2018 season.
