Training camp will officially get underway for the Los Angeles Rams on July 26.

Around this time last year, there was plenty of excitement surrounding the Los Angeles Rams, as fans couldn’t wait to see what kind of impact Sean McVay would make during his first season as head coach.

Turns out, the decision by the Rams to make McVay the youngest head coach in NFL history ended up working wonders after seeing how the team would exceed all expectations by going on to win the NFC West. Take this into consideration along with all of the additions made this offseason, it’s easy to see why expectations will be even higher for Los Angeles in 2018.

In fact, many believe the Rams deserve serious consideration for being one of the top teams in the NFC to make a run at the Super Bowl, which could very well happen.

For now, Los Angeles seems to be focusing on the start of training camp next month, which fans now know the dates for after the team released the details this week. The first day of training camp may still be more than a month away, but that doesn’t mean Rams fans shouldn’t still be excited.

Doesn’t it seem like it was only yesterday that Los Angeles watched their season come to an end after falling to the Atlanta Falcons in the playoffs? As frustrating as that loss was to deal with at the time, the good news for the Rams is this can be used as a learning experience heading into training camp.

Clearly, the experience factor came into play for Los Angeles during Wild Card Weekend, but hopefully the results will be much different this time around. One of the best things about the start of training camp is how every team gets a fresh start for the new season, including the Rams.

Los Angeles will be experiencing a whole new level of pressure this time around heading into training camp since expectations are higher than ever, but knowing McVay, there’s no question he’ll have his players ready. Even though July 26 seems far away at the moment, it will be here before Rams fans know it.
