Here are three ways Jared Goff of the Los Angeles Rams can work his way into becoming the top quarterback in the NFC during the 2018 season.

Around this time last year, one of the biggest questions surrounding the Los Angeles Rams was whether the team made a mistake sacrificing a first-round pick the year before to land former California star Jared Goff. For a team that had been in desperate need of finding a franchise quarterback after years of failure, the Rams were hoping that Goff would be well worth the wait, although it wasn’t all too pretty at first.

After a difficult rookie campaign in 2016 that consisted of a 0-7 record, there were plenty of Los Angeles fans that were ready to give up on Goff since they didn’t believe he was capable of handling the responsibilities of a starter at the NFL level. Turns out, all of those doubters were wrong, as Goff thrived in the new offense run by Sean McVay by throwing for 3,804 yards with 27 28 touchdowns and just seven interceptions.

Take this into consideration with the fact that Goff was able to earn a trip to the Pro Bowl as a replacement to Carson Wentz, the Rams have every reason in the world to be excited over what the future holds on offense.

With that being said, just because Goff had one amazing season doesn’t necessarily mean he deserves the honors of being the top quarterback in the NFC West at the moment since that title clearly goes to Russell Wilson. As great as Goff looked last season, Wilson is far more experienced at quarterback with the Seattle Seahawks, and even has a Super Bowl victory to his name, showing this isn’t even worthy of a debate heading into the 2018 season.

However, just because Wilson deserves the honors of being considered the better quarterback right now in the division doesn’t mean it’s going to last, which is where 2018 could come into play. If Goff wants to overtake Wilson as the top quarterback in the division, here are three things that needs to happen for the Rams star in 2018.
