1. Earn a playoff win

Whether they wanted to admit it or not, there was some concern surrounding the Rams last January entering the playoffs since from an experience standpoint, they were at a huge disadvantage compared to the Atlanta Falcons. After seeing Los Angeles struggle the way they did on offense for the most part, it was clear their inexperience caught up with them in the Wild Card Round.

Luckily, the circumstances will be much different this time around if the Rams live up to the hype by earning a trip to the playoffs for a second year in a row, which could fall on the shoulders of how well Goff performs on offense. As impressive as it would be for a team like Los Angeles to extend their season once again, none of it matters unless Goff and company actually come through on the winning end.

Otherwise, the key additions made over the last few months will look like nothing more than a complete waste of an opportunity since most teams would love to be in the position the Rams find themselves in. With Wilson’s 8-4 career playoff record, Goff still has a long way to go when it comes to catching his division rival, but at least getting that first postseason win would be a start to catch up for the Los Angeles quarterback.
