Former Los Angeles Rams star made some valid points towards the team’s chances of competing for a Super Bowl during the 2018 season.

When it comes to the greatest players of all time to ever suit up for the Los Angeles Rams, there’s no question former running back Eric Dickerson ranks near the top of the list when looking at all he accomplished with the team back in the 80’s.

Without question, Dickerson will always be considered one of the most popular among Rams fans, and seeing him continue to be involved with the team makes them love him even more.

Over the years, Dickerson has never been afraid to speak his mind about Los Angeles, whether it’s positive or negative. During a recent appearance on NFL Network, Dickerson praised the team for all the key moves made during the offseason whether it was the signing of Ndamukong Suh or developing a new dynamic duo at cornerback in Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib.

As Dickerson points out, Los Angeles as a team looks fantastic on paper, but the game isn’t played on paper. Between making sure certain players stay healthy along with the offensive line getting up there in age, Dickerson isn’t wrong about some of his points, whether Rams fans want to hear it or not.

Last offseason, Los Angeles made a splash in free agency by signing arguably the best offensive lineman available in Andrew Whitworth to help the unit transform into one of the best in the league.

However, Dickerson makes a valid point over the thought of how much the line would struggle if Whitworth or someone else on the offensive line suffered an injury since the depth isn’t exactly the best.

Protecting Jared Goff along with providing the necessary blocks for Todd Gurley are just two of the top priorities for the Rams once again heading into 2018, and hopefully everyone can stay healthy enough to help the team live up to the Super Bowl hype this upcoming season.

As Dickerson said, a team like Los Angeles can look amazing on paper, but performing well enough on the football field is what matters the most.
