After a torrent of offseason activity, the Rams will finally get down to business when they begin the preseason slate against the Ravens on Thursday night.

First thing first, and that is this is exhibition football. Front line players will see minimal work, and that’s putting it lightly. As a matter of fact, LA has been working out with Baltimore leading up to Thursday’s game, so each team will have some familiarity with each other.

For fans. It will be the first time they see new players like Suh, Peters, Cooks, and Talib. Additionally, rookies like running back John Kelly, and lineman like offensive tackle Joe Noteboom and center Brian Allen will get some critical playing time.

It will also be a first look at what many are considering a top five NFL defense. Though it’s still only the Rams first preseason game, we may also see how the absence of Aaron Donald may or may not be affecting a Wade Phillips‘ defense.

Los Angeles will roll out a lot of new looks in 2018. New personnel and high profile names that has vaulted the Rams into the stratosphere of expectations. While we might not see much on Thursday or during the coming weeks, expect some small clues as to how those expectations may eventually be met.
