I don’t mind saying I am no fan of new Rams wide receiver Cooks getting his payday ahead of Donald. Cooks hasn’t played a down for LA, while Donald is the reigning DPOY.

But that’s a different story.

Still, the player that head coach Sean McVay is on record as liking a lot, will finally hit the field in Rams gear. The only question now is will we see Cooks and Goff make a play or two against the Ravens.

Hard to say.

If last preseason and Week 17 of the 2017 regular season is any indicator, McVay will keep a lot under wraps, and starters just won’t get a lot of time on the field.

But fans should expect to see Goff and Cooks get some reps in real game time, which is something that never really happened with Goff and the now departed Sammy Watkins. As excited as the potential for that tandem was, it just never got off the ground. That should be different with Cooks and Goff.

The Rams look to be loaded on both sides of the football. What Watkins couldn’t deliver in 2017, Cooks is expected to in 2018.

Lots of high praise has been offered about LA’s newest offensive weapon. Fans can only hope to get a glimpse of it this preseason.
