QBs: Jared Goff, Brandon Allen (2)

To no surprise, Goffwill remain the starter for the Rams. Maybe surprising to some though, Brandon Allen becomes the new backup QB over Sean Mannion. Mannion has been the backup the last few years, but has not impressed enough in camp or preseason to justify bringing him back. Although it’s unlikely, don’t be surprised if Rams trade for a guy like Teddy Bridgewater to assume the role of backup QB. Rams haven’t been shy to make moves this off-season

RBs: Todd Gurley, Malcolm Brown, John Kelly (3)

Gurleyis guaranteed to be the starter just like water is guaranteed to be wet. It will be interesting to see who Rams decide to use at the backup RB spot. Malcolm Brown has been solid for the Rams the last couple of seasons as the backup to Gurley, holding a 3.6 yards per carry in his young career. John Kelly is a more change of pace back and has turned heads in preseason and training camp. It will be interesting to see how the Rams view the RB position.

WRs: Brandin Cooks, Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Pharoh Cooper, Josh Reynolds, Mike Thomas (6)

The Rams are pretty deep at WR this year with Brandin Cooks, Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods leading the way. Pharoh Cooper has solidified himself as the kick returner because of his strong showing last season. Josh Reynolds is a big target at 6’3″ and could see himself become a red zone option for the Rams. Mike Thomas is a solid option and will probably find himself barely getting a roster spot.

TEs: Gerald Everett, Tyler Higbee, Temarrick Hemingway (3)

Tyler Higbee is listed as the starter as of now but I wouldn’t be surprised if Gerald Everett was starting by the end of the season. Everett is definitely the more talented TE, especially in the passing game. Temarrick Hemingway is listed at the third TE spot and I believe he holds on to that, because of the amount of play he’s gotten this preseason.

OL: Andrew Whitworth, Rodger Saffold, John Sullivan, Jamon Brown, Rob Havenstein, Jamil Demby, Joseph Noteboom, Austin Blythe, Brian Allen (9)

You can never have enough offensive lineman in the NFL. Injuries are a regular occurrence in the trenches so it’s smart to have as much depth as possible. Andrew Whitworth, Rodger Saffold, John Sullivan, Jamon Brown and Rob Havenstein will be the starters again for the Rams for the second year in a row. Jamil Demby and Joseph Noteboom were selections in this years draft, so will likely garner roster spots. Austin Blythe and Brian Allen bring versatile depth behind the starters.
