So what about the biggest story that is actually a carbon copy of this time last year? Well, the Rams and AD are still working to get a deal together, and if you listen to NFL media reports, follow blogs, or have been listening to sports talk radio, the end of this saga may be upon us.

Or not. I mean, how many “inevitable reports” have we heard this offseason and preseason?

Maybe this time Donald is finally getting his due from an organization who has handled this poorly.

The 2018 offseason has been telling in Los Angeles. After making big time moves to acquire free agent talent, the one guy most, if not all believed was on deck to get a new deal is AD. Yet heading into the final week of the preseason, it’s still a story without a resolution.

Maybe that changes this week or next, but one thing is for sure, and that is if the Rams are to make that next leap to an NFC championship and beyond, they need Donald anchoring their defensive line and the Los Angeles locker room.

This is absolutely the biggest story this preseason with the exception of a liability at the backup quarterback position looming just as large. Two stories the Rams need to end in the most positive fashion possible.
