5. Troy Hill

As soon as last season came to an end, the cornerback position was one of the biggest questions for the Rams heading into 2018 since the chances of Trumaine Johnson, who signed with the New York Jets in free agency, remaining with the team seemed slim. Turns out, Los Angeles pulled off the unthinkable by bringing in a new duo at cornerback by acquiring both Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters through trades.

Take this into consideration along with the Sam Shields hoping to be one of the most underrated signings from free agency, the Rams appear to be stacked at the cornerback position, and it’s going to be fun watching Wade Phillips work with some of his new talent. With that being said, Troy Hill has been one of the biggest mysteries surrounding the defense since the cornerback didn’t exactly get off to the best of starts in the preseason.

Plus, when looking at the depth the Rams have at the position with other players like Dominique Hatfield, Hill is one of those players the defense can survive without on the roster. Hill has seen plenty of great moments over the last few years, but it will be interesting to see if his time with the team is coming to an end.
